By accessing or using Dance Comp Finder ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
The Platform provides a directory and discovery service for dance competitions, festivals, and related event listings in the UK dance community. We help event organisers publish listings and help parents, teachers, and schools browse, save, and monitor events that match their interests.
3. User Accounts and Registration
- • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
- • Parents/guardians are responsible for minors' use of the Platform
4. User Responsibilities
Event Organisers:
- • Must provide accurate event information
- • Events require admin approval before being listed
- • Are responsible for their own event management and compliance with applicable laws
Parents and Teachers:
- • Must use the platform lawfully and in good faith
- • Must not misuse organiser contact details or event information
- • Are responsible for their own participation decisions and due diligence
5. Content and Conduct
- • You may not post false, misleading, or inappropriate content
- • We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion
- • You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to use it on the Platform
- • Prohibited activities include: spam, harassment, illegal content, or misrepresentation
6. Data Usage and Marketing
- • By using the Platform, you consent to us using your contact information for marketing purposes
- • We may use your account and listing data to operate, review, and improve the Platform
- • You can opt out of marketing communications at any time
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties
- • We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of events listed
- • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months
9. Termination
- • Either party may terminate the agreement at any time
- • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms
- • Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
